If we’re doing work that makes the days drag on, perhaps we should reevaluate what we’re doing. On the other hand, if the days fly by because we’re actively engaged with our work, what more could we ask for?

I’m not saying that work should be “easy” or always be “fun.” But I am saying that it need not become a “drag.” Life’s too short to waste our days simply holding on until the weekend.

But the answer isn’t always changing jobs. Many times it’s found in changing how we approach our work, and the attitude we bring to it. Will we bring our best to every interaction we have, and to every challenge we face? Will we actively engage with the work at hand, and seek to grow in our craft?

Or, will we be content to simply make it through another week, happy that we’ve received another paycheck?
