I ran into the following quote a few weeks back, and it’s stuck with me:

If you have more than three priorities, you don’t have any —Jim Collins

Prioritizing can be tough because it forces us to choose — something that some of us don’t want to do, especially when we have plenty of good options. The easy solution is to say that everything is important — or at least that several things are important. But the more things we say are ‘priorities,’ the less the word begins to mean.

Choosing is hard, but it also bring clarity. And that clarity can make decisions a little easier when we’ve done the difficult work of narrowing down the (very) few things that are most important.
