Just because you can’t spend time on all the things you’d like to do doesn’t mean you can’t spend time on any of them. You may not have time for everything that interests you—who does?—but you can still choose to invest time in something. It may not be much, but choosing to engage in one thing, with whatever limited time you have, is better than letting the limitations of time discourage you from doing anything at all.

Choosing to focus on one thing will mean saying “no” to other things. But that “no” need not be permanent. Someday your focus may shift and you’ll be in a spot to reengage with things you previously put on hold. In the meantime, you can still choose to say “yes” to something. You may not have much time to give to it, but even a little is better than doing nothing while you wait.
