When we begin to see others “beneath” us, it says more about us than it does about them.

Sure, each of us may be superior to others in a specific skill or talent. But when we begin to see ourselves as superior to others in general, we’re demonstrating how warped our view of reality is becoming. Gradually our world begins to revolve around us, and we can slowly get entangled in the trap of pride—a snare that has brought down many seemingly great men.

And even if we never outwardly fall, we still suffer the damage that pride causes both inwardly and in our relationships.
