I came across the following quote today that talks about the difference between accruing knowledge and gaining wisdom.

Knowledge is proud that he has learned so much;

Wisdom is humble that he knows no more. –William Cowper

Knowledge is valuable, but it’s important to keep an eye on what kind of effect the acquisition of knowledge has upon us. Does it lead to pride? Or does it foster humility? Do we begin to think we know it all? Or are we reminded of all the things we still don’t know?
