The past couple days I’ve been reading through Charles Duhigg’s, The Power of Habit, and it’s been fascinating. Habits are so integral to what we do each and every day, and often we don’t even realize it.

It’s been said that we make our habits and then our habits make us. What’s crazy is that many of the habits we’ve formed over the year were not done intentionally, and yet they continue to shape and guide our actions day in and day out.

Which is why it’s important to be aware of the habits that we’ve acquired and the ones we’re developing. We’ll be shaped by them whether we realize it or not. So if they’re going to affect us throughout our lives, we might as well be intentional about establishing ones that we actually want to be shaped by.
