Passion will move men beyond themselves, beyond their shortcomings, beyond their failures. –Joseph Campbell

We can have all the skill, all the experience, all the knowledge, and yet, without passion, there’s only so far we’ll go. And not only we as individuals, but also the groups and teams we’re a part of.

Passion is the fuel that energizes us to tackle things we wouldn’t otherwise attempt. It can help us push through the obstacles we face — both internal and external —when we’re tempted to back off. And in the long run, this makes all the difference.

Passion isn’t a replacement for knowledge or wisdom or experience. But it is a necessary component of accomplishing meaningful things bigger than ourselves.
