It’s one thing to have to wait. It’s another to worry while you’re waiting.

Sometimes the only thing you can do is wait. The ball is in someone else’s court, and you’ve done all you can do. So instead of focusing on all the things that could go wrong, or all the things you’re currently unable to do, better to focus your attention on the things you can actually do.

Ultimately, there’s only so much we can do, and there are many areas where we have no control. And when we’re waiting for something that’s outside of our control, there’s no benefit to worrying about it.

Worrying doesn’t change anything for the better. It only steals our attention — diverting our focus from the things we can control, and providing no benefit in return.
